Elk Regional Launches New Web Site

Elk Regional Health System has given its Web site a dramatic makeover that has not only improved patient and visitor access to information but also offers new ways in which members of the community can interact with and support their local hospital.

“Our new Web site allows us to offer information to the communities we serve while putting our best foot forward,” said Gregory Bauer, the President and CEO of Elk Regional Health System. “It showcases our organization beautifully.”

The new Web site offers visitors a more streamlined way to access information about the programs and services offered at Elk Regional Health Center.

In addition, the new Web site offers an enhanced Patients and Visitors directory that includes visiting hours, the hospital’s gift shop, directions to the hospital, updated cafeteria menus and a telephone directory. The hospital’s privacy policy is readily accessible to patients and their loved ones, along with information on each of the Health System’s affiliates, its Auxiliary, Foundation and employed physician group.

Visitors can read biographical information about all of Elk Regional’s employed physicians, send e-cards to their loved ones, view and apply online for job openings at the hospital, make donations and read about the Health System’s leadership team, Board of Directors, corporate culture and longstanding commitment to the communities it serves.

The site provides a direct link to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., a world-class facility with which Elk Regional enjoys a clinical affiliation.

Visitors to Elk Regional’s site can also view a 60-second video about the hospital, read news updates and check an easy-to-use calendar for hospital event listings, such as the annual Purse Sale and various health screenings.

The site will continue to improve. Soon, it will connect visitors with Elk Regional’s Facebook account, allow patients to pay bills online and allow visitors to watch informative 60-second videos about the hospital’s departments and services.
