The Maternity Unit at Elk Regional Health Center often provides classes to help women prepare for childbirth.

Beginning May 2, The Maternity Unit will host a series of prenatal classes! Our prenatal classes cover labor, delivery, newborn and post-partum care.

Classes in the four-week series will be held on May 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Education Center.

Beginning August 8, The Maternity Unit will host a series of Lamaze classes! Lamaze recognizes childbirth as a normal, natural, healthy process and will provide women with the knowledge and skills they need to give birth with confidence.

Classes in the six-week series will be held on August 8, 15, 22, 29, and Sept. 5 and 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Education Center.
